Back To Blog Fourth of July Party Prep!
Fourth of July celebrations are generally our summer’s biggest party! To make your party one your friends, family and random firework watchers will remember, follow this easy checklist!
- Don’t get bit!
To avoid getting eaten alive, stock up on the citronella candles a week early and light them every night. This will ensure by the time the party comes, the bugs will not interfere with the guests. If you want to keep the flies away from the food on the day of, hang a bang of 4 pennies in a ziplock baggie full of water! This trick scares flies away like a charm.
- Set up the backyard!
To host a large group of people with games and food, the back yard is the easiest and most convenient space to decorate and clean! Get some easy games like corn-hole and set up the grill. Make sure you have a table to put food and drink on and some seats for everyone to relax in!
- Make a menu
Pinterest is the best place to get some cute red, white and blue recipes… especially dessert! Try something easy like strawberry, banana and blueberry skewers or dyed deviled eggs! Not everything has to be red, white and blue, hot dogs and hamburgers are always crowd pleasers!
- Get the flags!
A fourth of July party would not be complete without the flag! Hang a big one or a small one and hit the store for some red, white and blue décor like tablecloths, banners and cups and plates!
- FIREWORKS!
Most towns have their own fireworks display at a certain time. Look into the schedule for your city and get ready to watch! If you live in a state where fireworks are legal, get your own and have your own show… but do so in a safe manner. Make sure to look into how and where to safely set off fireworks and a good distant you should be from your guests!
- Have Fun.
Any party with family and friends is bound to be a good one. So, don’t stress and enjoy your time eating, playing and celebrating our Independence Day with loved ones!
